Tamper Evident Label

PRODUCT CODE: 902 · TAMPER EVIDENT LABEL

Product

Removing a label and causing damage to the packaging may seem counterintuitive. However, ensuring the authenticity of pharmaceuticals and other sensitive products often requires that the packaging cannot be reused once opened. We offer a range of materials that create a strong seal and provide indisputable evidence that a box has been opened when the label is removed, reducing attempts at re-use or counterfeiting.

Face Material (Facestock)

We offer polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) film options—films that are strong enough not to tear during tampering yet flexible enough for edge labeling applications.

Adhesive

A high-performance, permanent adhesive is essential. It is designed to deliver optimal performance on various carton varnish types and is particularly suitable for pharmaceutical box applications.

Normally, we do not want a label to damage the packaging surface when removed. However, for anti-counterfeiting solutions, the opposite is required—we may specifically want it to leave evidence. In such cases, a special high-strength adhesive is used. When an attempt is made to remove the label, it pulls away the top layer of the packaging surface, clearly proving tampering.

Water-Based Acrylic Adhesive: Water-based acrylic adhesive is the most commonly preferred standard adhesive for general barcode label applications. If you do not require an aggressive adhesive and the surface is not rough, standard acrylic adhesive will be suitable for your needs. Its high bonding strength, excellent surface adhesion, and reliable performance at low temperatures make it an ideal choice.
