(semi‑gloss card or high‑gloss “chromolux” card), they provide durability suitable for indoor use.

Printing

Direct Thermal: Can be printed on direct thermal printers without TT ribbons.
Thermal Transfer: Semi‑gloss and chromolux (high‑gloss) non‑adhesive cards can be printed on thermal transfer printers using
wax and wax‑resin ribbons.

Note: Direct‑thermal compatibility depends on the coating; in practice, most semi‑gloss/glossy cards yield best results with thermal transfer ribbons.
