Date Coding Ribbons

Date coding ribbons are used in printers that encode date information such as shelf life, recommended use-by date, expiration date, production date, and storage life.

In these printers, the heat generated by the ribbon liquefies the solid ink on the polyester film. The ink then comes into contact with the label or packaging surface under pressure, creating the print. Date coding ribbons are also known as hot foil ribbons. You can print date information on packaging, cardboard or plastic boxes, and products in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, cleaning eggs, and many other industries. Depending on your printer model, you can choose between inside and outside winding of our ribbons.

Date coding ribbons can be used in printers with near-edge print heads. You can use them seamlessly with date coding printers such as Savema, Markem Imaje, Allen Coding, Domino, and Videojet Dataflex.
